An isolated open rupture of the flexor hallucis longus tendon is an uncommon injury. We present a case of a chronic flexor hallucis longus rupture distal to the sesamoid complex in an active 12-year-old male after he stepped on a piece of glass. Surgical repair involved a flexor hallucis longus adhesiotomy and tenoplasty with autogenous peroneus longus tendon graft. https://atlanticknifers.shop/product-category/zippo/
